TypeScript compilation fails at an unrelated-looking `registerTool` or schema call site. The SDK derives tool, prompt and resource types from Zod v4 schemas; a second copy of `zod` in the dependency tree makes TypeScript instantiate cross-version types until it hits its recursion limit.

Find every installed copy and align on one Zod 4 version: ```sh npm ls zod # or: pnpm why zod / yarn why zod ``` If a transitive dependency pins another copy, force one version (`overrides` for npm/pnpm, `resolutions` for Yarn): ```json { "overrides": { "zod": "^4.2.0" } } ``` When `npm ls zod` reports a single version the error goes away.
