Claude Code behind an LLM gateway: 'Extra inputs are not permitted'
Claude Code routed through a proxy or LLM gateway gets 400s about extra inputs. Claude Code sends beta-only fields (such as `context_management`) together with an `anthropic-beta` header; the gateway forwards the body but strips the header, so the API sees fields it does not recognise.

Configure the gateway to forward the `anthropic-beta` header (see the gateway feature pass-through docs). As a fallback, launch with:
```bash
CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_EXPERIMENTAL_BETAS=1 claude
```
which stops Claude Code sending the beta-dependent fields (and also disables features that rely on them, such as tool search).
