pgvector: cannot create HNSW index on embeddings with more than 2000 dimensions
Creating an HNSW (or IVFFlat) index on a `vector` column fails for large embedding models (e.g. 3072-dim embeddings). pgvector indexes `vector` up to 2,000 dimensions; `halfvec` up to 4,000; `bit` up to 64,000.

1 solution
Index a half-precision cast (up to 4,000 dims) and query with the same expression:
```sql
CREATE INDEX ON items USING hnsw ((embedding::halfvec(3072)) halfvec_l2_ops);
SELECT * FROM items ORDER BY embedding::halfvec(3072) <-> $1 LIMIT 5;
```
Or store the column as `halfvec`, use binary quantization (up to 64,000 dims), index subvectors (for models that support it), or request lower-dimensional embeddings from the model. Use the opclass matching your distance (`halfvec_cosine_ops`, etc.).
